About

Rugs on a whole new level

CARPT brings back centuries of knowledge and technique in making artistic and valuable carpets. We preserve the traditional craftsmanship of knotting carpets by hand without machines, using the best materials that nature has to offer. To achieve this, we work together with selected small manufacturers in Nepal and India. Finishing a carpet requires great craftsmanship and knowledge from the basic conception to the finishing and rewards everyone involved with a great sense of pride. Our carpets not only change the way you feel about a room, they also increase your quality of life. Just think how satisfying it is to walk barefoot on a beautiful carpet or to see children play on it safely! Our business is founded on a combination of enthusiasm and our ethical, aesthetic and ecological values, all of which we hope you see in the finished product.

Natural materials of the purest quality

CARPT only uses organic fibers such as virgin wool and silk, and renewable plants like nettle, cotton, hemp, cactus and linen from rank growth or resource-conserving cultivation that’s harvested by hand. Only the highest quality grade of each material is used. Only the highest quality grade of each material is used. We manually hand-wash our material without chemicals which is not only environmentally friendly, but also gives our carpets their characteristic feel and shine.

On the same level

For us, being socially and ecologically responsible means decent and humane working conditions, fair remuneration and sustainable use of all resources. We often visit our local producers on site, as having a direct line of contact is of immense value to us. We maintain an honest partnership with them and share the same passion for precision. Our good relationship not only lasts over time, but also protects the existence of a valuable craft that has been passed down from generation to generation.

Innovative and unique pieces

Each CARPT rug is an individual and unique piece that is made to measure by hand. Our color palette has been developed in-house and is specifically matched to the respective fibers. We’ve brought the world of modern technology into our carpets: In the reflective Flashed Arrows, for example, the light is refracted like in a mirror when facing the sun. We have succeeded in combining contemporary designs with traditional techniques, such as Soumak Weaving. Exclusive to us: linen Kilims – natural or dyed, with a refined structure and contrasting fringes – and mercerized cotton carpets with an inimitable sheen and silky feel. From the color, to the yarn and the shape – we can individually adapt everything to suit your tastes.

From generation to generation

CARPT founder Hamdi Yenerer grew up surrounded by carpets, which have been a major part of his family for three generations. After various positions, among others with one of the world’s leading textile design companies, Yenerer never stopped thinking about creating his own originals that meet the highest standards in quality and design. Rugs that inspire, that are unique in their tranquility and design.
