Sediments

Minimal, colorful, varied. The stripes on these designs were inspired by the sediments found within a rock. Subtle block stripes bring depth and structure, and help underline the sediments character. Thick fringes combat the accurate stripes and make the design feel more homely. Many rocks are a mix of colors, the hand-dyed tonality of the yarns reflects this mix. The design was concepted in two different ways: As pure sediments (hand-knotted in Tibetan knot plus Soumak technique in narrow stripes) and as Sediments Sumak (allover in traditional Soumak technique from pure linen or wild stinging nettle from the Himalayas). Available in 7 variations: Magma, Magma Sumak, Quartz, Quartz Sumak, Delta, Basalt Sumak, Meteorite Sumak.
